Hi, everybody. I’m an author and illustrator whose focus is children’s books, and fantasy with a pinch of science fiction.
The second kindle edition of my kids book, “Nobody Me Told I Couldn’t…” is a bug racing adventure in Winners Park about an unlikely hero, unlikely friendship, and overcoming obstacles for kids ages 8-12. You can find it on Amazon.com – available as a print or e-book and as an e-book on the Google Play Store.
L’Truishus: Harbinger will be my first published work of fantasy.
Among the things I’d like to do here is to analyze stories. My favorite fantasy books are by J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. I’ve also learned through YouTube that Amazon is creating a new Middle Earth series based on Tolkien’s writings and that there is going to be a Netflix series based on Lewis’s Narnia books, so I intend to share my take on them here along with many other juicy tidbits of storytelling news, which will include upcoming popular books, films, and TV series.
I think what interests me the most about storytelling is what makes us relate to fictional characters and stories. Why do they continue to live on in our imaginations long after we’ve shut a book, watched an episode, seen a film or even played a video game? So I also plan to explore popular characters and character types. Most of it will be Sci-fi and Fantasy related.
Some upcoming shows I plan to look at will be The Lord of the Rings series, The Narnia series, and the new The Dark Crystal prequel series. Upcoming films will be The Sonic the Hedgehog movie (that may not sound like it fits, but it interests me because it’s nostalgic) as well as the War for Cybertron series that will be released on Netflix in 2020.
Aside from that I will be sharing what’s cooking in my own universe.
